James graduated from the University of Adelaide with first class honours in high performance computational physics (HPCP), following on from a double major in theoretical physics and computer science. He is completing a PhD in medical physics, also at Adelaide, developing novel deep learning architectures for radiation dosimetry.
From 2015, James worked as a software engineer for a local start-up developing web-app and database solutions for small businesses and local government. He has also worked for DST group, applying artificial intelligence to defence applications under the Joint and Operations Analysis Division.
James is now developing software for the Micro-X product line. He aims to hone his skills in software engineering, while maintaining multi-disciplinary awareness.
