In 2020, Erica completed her 20-week work-integrated learning at Micro-X. She worked on the Brain CT Scanner project, developing imaging algorithms that significantly improved image quality and allowed for small pools of blood in the brain to be imaged. Erica remained at Micro-X whilst completing her final year Masters project, which looked at the feasibility of adding Compton Scatter Imaging to the Brain CT Scanner.
Erica has now graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor and Masters in Biomedical Engineering and is continuing to work on the Brain CT Scanner project as a systems engineer.
