Micro-X has been chosen to be a part of the Team Defence Australia delegation exhibiting at Defence and Security Equipment (DSEI) in London from 14-17 September 2021. Team Defence Australia will be showcasing a number of Australian companies with a range of capabilities to a global audience of Defence and Security organisations.
DSEI is one of the largest defence and security shows in the world, with five key domain focused zones – aerospace, land, naval, security and joint – all showcasing the latest equipment and systems. DSEI aims to connect governments, national armed forces, industry thought leaders and the entire defence & security supply chain on a global scale. DSEI is renowned for the strength and seniority of those that attend, including senior officials, industry buyers, and international VIPs and official delegations. DSEI 2021, will see 1700 exhibitors and 35 000 attendees from over 50 countries.
Micro-X is excited to showcase its prototype IED X-Ray Camera at DSEI for the first time. The IED X-ray Camera seeks to transform Stand-Off imaging capability in the Counter IED space. By using backscatter imaging technology, the IED X-ray Camera takes images to detect threats such as bombs, drugs, and other organic material. The system has been designed with an agnostic approach to integration on robotic platforms and can be deployed independently as a Carry Forward System with no requirements to deploy an imaging panel.
The Micro-X Rover Military X-ray Machine will also be on display at DSEI. The Rover Military X-ray Machine has been specifically designed for use in deployed military situations. These deployed facilities have limited access to hospital-grade X-ray machines, and often use small animal veterinary equipment as a substitute. The Rover X-ray unit is ruggedised and optimised for the high-intensity use associated with mass casualty situations.
